Who we are

We are James and Emmaline Ashline, proud locals of Idaho and devout Christians.

James had the idea of starting Idaho Roots Landscaping and Excavation in early July of 2025 after feeling called by God to provide honest and good work to the people around us. James has over 10 years of experience working alongside his dad and for various landscaping companies large and small. He believes that the best service comes from having great knowledge, having integrity and being precise. At Idaho Roots, we don’t believe in one and done contracts. We believe not only in serving you but investing in you.

When James isn’t playing in the dirt, he is enjoying riding dirt bikes, hunting, fishing, camping with the family, and hanging around the bon fire. When Emmaline isn’t performing her office lady duties, she is enjoying thrifting with the girls, hiking, reading one of her romance novels, playing fetch with the dogs and of course hunting, fishing and camping with James and the family.
